Steve Hill 💥MONSTER CHURCH LAKE MIRROR SMASHES STEVE’S PB! 🎉 On just his second session at @rk_leisure ‘s Horton Church Lake, our man @stevehillfishing has caught one of the famed water’s A-Team - ‘Roger the Dodger’ at a colossal 56lb 1oz. 😍🐳 On arrival to the historic 15-acre water, Steve headed for an area where he had seen fish on his last visit and soon spotted some signs the big carp were about.👀 Using a baiting pole, he dispatched two Pineapple 12mm pop-ups to the area over a very small scattering of Shelf Life Cell in 15mm and 10mm. He opted to fish these on short Chod Rigs tied with our awesome 25lb Memory Hooklink and size 4 Redesmere Hooks🪝. Crimping the rigs nice and short to our size 11 Ring Swivels, the presentation was completed with a length of our remarkably supple CoreFree Leader down to a drop-off lead system. 🎣 “A couple of beeps on the left rod indicated a bite and before I knew it, I was into a powerful and heavy fish,” Steve said. 💪🏻 “It headed towards marginal cover on both sides of the swim, but with such deep water I managed to navigate it into the waiting landing net.👊🏻 “As it slipped over the cord, I knew from the tones which fish it was and I simply could not believe it. 🤯 “‘Roger The Dodger’ at 56lb 1oz, a new UK PB for me from a lake with so much history - truly made up!” 😊
