Paul Palmer Went for a social over my mates Essex Syndicate this weekend. I’ve fished it a couple of times in the past in the colder months, but hadn’t managed to catch anything. Seeing a couple of fish show opted for a swim I’d not been in before, and cast a 5 bait stringer about 60 yards within an inch of an overhanging willow.. one of them casts you instantly say… ‘That’s a bite’. I wasn’t wrong as the next morning.. it was away, and I landed this lovely coloured chunky 32lb common. Well pleased with my first fish from the Lake… hopefully I’ll get another go in the future !
