Paul Palmer Getting over the lake in the afternoon with a couple of nights to play with, I got back on a spot I’ve been continuously trickling bait into over the last couple of months. Waking up the next morning it seems like things might have slowed down with no interest, however the day soon turned into action packed one landing 3 carp up to 34, with the owner Gary also being present and helping out with one. The confidence had gone right up again now…. And the second night I landed a fish called the Bananna about 2am, but I’d only caught this a few weeks back at 42.12lb.. so didn’t bother weighing/photo’ing again.. just unhooked in the water and let it on its way. The next morning at pack away time… as I had the bivvy folded in my arms another rod way away… and I landed my fifth carp of the trip.. an amazing looking 37.01lb mirror. I’d also had this one not to long ago.. but didn’t get decent pic’s, so was pleased to have it again… and finish off this action packed trip.
