Rob Phipps On arrival at the club lake on Sunday (later than usual) I was completely surprised to see plenty of space around the lake especially for a bank holiday..with the sun beaming down and a decent wind blowing up the shallows I parked up that end to look first..seeing plenty of fizzing and a couple of subtle shows the decision was made to drop in there. Cell 13mm Super Buoyant Popups deployed and a mix of Cell and ISO Fish Shelflife over the top I was feeling pretty confident. Out of nowhere my alarm burst into life and the bobbin smashed up into the blank, I hit in to it and I immediately knew it was a better fish, it really didn’t want to give up easily.! After a mega battle I managed to get another target in the net, one known as the ‘knarly mirror’…happy days and another ticked off the list.!
