About Daniel Daneshi
As a very young boy my Dad used to take my brother and I fishing most weekends and my first years of carp fishing started at a very young age of 6. I learnt a lot from him back then and it was not just a love for fishing but a way of bonding with my dad, as my parents split up when I was around 8 years old, so my weekends were spent on the banks of Gunnersbury Park. Between the ages of 15 to 18 my fishing took a back seat with my college work and chasing girls. Once this had passed and with my brother still fishing and asking me to go along, at the age of 19 my carp angling really took off.
From then to the present day, my carp fishing has really improved and learning each session has help me bank a variety of carp from local venues. For me theres no better feeling than when your rod screams into life and you land the fish. I believe the more effort you put in the more your get out, it will only be a matter of time before the rewards come like most things in life.
Over the past 7 years my brother and I set up a Youtube channel called ReelfishingUK. The aim of this was to share our fishing experiences with others and a way of giving back to the sport we love and using our knowledge to help others.
During my time fishing I have been lucky enough to catch carp up to 56lbs in Europe and mirrors and commons over 40lbs in the UK.
A lot of my fishing is done with my brother Lewis and one of my most memorable fishing moments is not of me catching, but watching his face as he weighed a fish that pushed the scales to 64lbs 12oz.
I have a young family and a full time job so like many of you, I have limited angling time and most of the time find myself going to the lake from work and back at work the next morning, but have to get a session in one way or another, thats one of the reason I use mainline baits as i have 100% confidence and never have to question its pulling power.
