About Richie Lofthouse

I started fishing when I was 5, my Dad and Grandad used to take me to Aquatels (Essex pool) to catch small Tench, Crusian carp and silver fish.  At the age of 10 I was fishing Glouster Park in Basildon for the Carp.  My mate Nick and I used to catch our fair share of singles and doubles.  Nicky showed me loads back in the day.  His dad and older brother were keen Carper anglers.  I got back into my angling at the age of 22.  Since then I have fished some pukka venues.  Lakelands, Braxted, The Essex Manor, Charity Lakes, the North Met, The Quarry, CAA and I’m just about to begin on a very special place in the Cambridge area.  So far I have been fortunate enough to catch 9 different UK carp over the magical 40lb mark.  I have been on Mainline baits for the past 3 seasons, It’s defiantly given me an edge over the weekend crowds.
