Cell Result For Darren Belton! 15th July, 2012

Darren Belton has been enjoying a great run a big fish this season and has been in contact with Mainline HQ yet again following another big carp result! Over to Darren to take up the story:

"I arrived at the lake at around midday on Sunday to find my mate Sam leaving a swim that had been seeing a lot of my bait recently. He explained that he had caught 5 fish in the night and had run out of bait and was leaving, so I dropped in behind him. The rods were clipped up for the spots, so I set about spombing 5kgs of 20mm CELL boillies and placed my hook baits over the top.
 
There were still fish in the area, but I had to wait until 3am the next morning for any action and a pretty, scaly mirror was soon in the net. There were
still a lot of fish in the area, so mid morning I reeled in my rods, despatched another 5 kgs of Cell and rested the swim until early evening. About 10pm, I received a blistering take and after a hard battle a huge mirror sat in the net. After settling on a weight of 40lb 2ozs, I got the rod back out and tried to get some sleep. Around about 3am the other rod was away and after a similar battle a similar sized carp was sat in the net! I couldn't believe my luck and after weighing the fish at a slightly smaller weight of 37lb 8oz there was no chance of me getting back to sleep. I packed up shortly after day light and headed for home with a big smile on my face. The awesome Cell had struck again!"
