The Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire venue is a mature gravel pit of 17 acres in size that has been fished since 1999 when owner Mick Richardson acquired the lake.

It has been extensively stocked with quality English strains including Leney crosses, Horseshoe, Sutton, Orchid and some very scaley versions of simo’s.

The growth rates have been incredible and the deep weedy water is the perfect environment for the fish to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Since the stocking the fish have shot up from singles and low doubles to weights far in excess of forty pounds with the best recorded weights so far being a mirror of fifty one pounds and the incredible forty six pound common. There are approximately a dozen fish in excess of forty pounds and an amazing head of thirty pounders and, with the back up stock of growing twenties it is one of the prime waters in the UK at this time.

With the sponsorship of Mainline and the regular feeding of high quality baits that that will ensure, who knows what this fantastic water will produce over the coming years.
