New PB on the I.B. 20th March, 2014

Long-serving Mainline carper, Gary Thomas has been in touch following an eventful trip to France. Over to Gary to take up the story:

"My mate Billy and I have just returned from a week at High Mill Lake in France. For a change, we fancied a week on a commercial water and chose High Mill, as the lake was quiet with no bookings. A change from the rugged public waters that we're used to taking on, but I'd have to say it was a very enjoyable experience. 

Especially as it has been my ambition for over 30 years fishing abroad to catch a 20kg common carp and I achieved it on this trip. The best fish was a 47lb 12oz common with three others over 40lbs including mirrors of 44lb and 46lb. 

Billy also took a common of 40lb 8ozs, with both of us catching using a combination of Cell and High Impact - Essential I.B. boilies."
