Short Session Result!

Consistent big-carp angler Rob Marsh has been in touch following another short session result! Over to the Mainline consultant to take up the story:

"With the excellent weather conditions and with my mate Darren catching a few fish to low fourties at the Southern Park lake, I decided to get down for a quick overnighter on Friday night not a good choice as it could be very busy, but it was my only free night. On the phone to Darren he informed me that the bloke in the long chuck swim was leaving mid-morning but I soon told him that I could not get down till 3pm.

All day I was expecting a text from Darrren saying the swim had been taken, but as I walked up the path to my disbelief the swim was free! After a chat Darren said that many anglers had turned up only to pick other swims. As I set up George to my right in the bay was into a fish he soon landed a cracking 41lb mirror! I was definately in the right area. Luckily my rods were still clipped up from my last overnighter in the same swim. The rods were cast to each of my spots before I spombed 20 mini spombs to each area. The mix included Hinders Sea Salt and pepper Hemp and Hinders Pellet combi plus Mainline response pellets and 14mm Mainline CELL Boilies. My first take came at 3am and after a good battle I slid the net under a pretty mirror on the scales she went 24lb 6oz!

With the rod back out and after getting a soaking from the rain I got back in the bag but at 5.30 am I was back out in the rain playing a big carp. It is amazing how you can just tell, after a real good battle I slid the net under the fish it was just light and as I lifted the net I saw it was a fish Known as Alfie. On the scales she went 43lb 2oz! I was well happy a few photos and I slid her back and then packed up for work, wet, but well happy!"
