Weekend Result For Rob! 28th May, 2012

Mainline Consultant Rob Marsh has been in contact again this week after managing to fit in a full weekend session as opposed to his usual quick overnighters before work and made full use of the extra time! Over to Rob to take up the story:

"I arrived at the lake, late Friday afternoon and to my surprise there was only 2 anglers on the venue so I opted for the far end of the lake and chose a swim called 'Jeffs'. Although no fish were showing I knew fellow Mainline carper, Lee Merrit had landed a good fish in the week from this area of the
lake.

Three rods were placed in clear areas in between the weed followed by a bed of Mainline Cell boilies with a mixture of Hinders pelletz. The night was quiet and at 8am I was thinking I had chosen the wrong area, but at 9am I saw two fish just to the right of my right hand rod then another showed directly on the money. As another fish then showed to my right I decided to put my left rod to the showing fish. Ten minutes later the rod ripped off and after a good battle I landed a 28lb 3oz mirror. With rod back out it was not long before I was doing battle with another good carp. On the scales this mirror went 33lb 5oz.The day was quiet untill just on dark my middle rod was away after a short battle I landed another carp of 23lbs 7ozs. The night was once again was quiet but whilst starting to pack up I received one last take on my middle rod after another good battle I landed a cracking common weighing 32lb 3ozs! It was a excellent way to end an awesome weekend!"
